Who doesn’t love a great Christmas campaign?! We love producing them, especially when it’s a balmy 80 degrees outside!
PARADISO was tasked with producing a campaign, where instead of Santa “bringing the cheer” to Leon Medical, he soon realizes that someone has beaten him to it…you guessed it, the good folks at Leon. The holiday is in full swing at the center. Everyone is eating, dancing, conversing, and spreading the holiday cheer. Santa soon realizes his work is done here and heads off to deliver his next round of presents and cheer.
The key to this campaign was finding our “Santa”, and our Santa was nothing short of amazing. He had been working as a Santa for the last 11 years, at public and private events, and in the shopping malls. He knew the performance we needed, and he really embraced it, all the assumptions we make of Santa. He embodied every single one of them.
The challenge came in post-production, where we had to create an environment where Santa could arrive in his sled, without seeing the sled itself, but we definitely had to get glimpses of it arriving and departing, with a limited post-production budget. We brought in our partners in Uruguay to bring that part of the story to life.
We don’t need Santa to “bring the cheer” to the holiday season. We can do that ourselves, through kindness, empathy, and love. We really enjoyed producing this one. Merry Christmas to you and your families during this holiday season.
